Oh Yeah, This is Happening...

Hello! Welcome, welcome.  We both distinctly remember sitting outside a sandwich shop in San Diego, California shortly after our missions.  We were all hyped up from the mission and loved talking about it.  We came up with the idea to write a book for sister missionaries. We had experienced the best 18 months of our lives and we wanted to help future sister missionaries navigate their 18 months.  We brainstormed, joked around and left it as a wish we could, probably won't type of dream.  Well, that was over a decade ago.

When President Monson announced the new age requirement for sisters, we, like most of you, went crazy!  We couldn't believe it.  It rocked our world and re-energized our thoughts and feelings about our missions.  With that, our book (handbook) was finally born!

A copy of the book was given out yesterday so we figure that means we launched!  An unofficial launch to be sure, but that's how we roll. This is a book for any young woman who is thinking about serving, waiting to serve, or is now serving.  For those who have already served a mission, it's the perfect read for reminiscing about the good old days. Thanks for joining us, hope you like!

  2. I had the pleasure of having Alicia and Paige in my home many times while they were on their missions. I have memories of them being happy and excited to share the gospel. They are beautiful daughters of our Heavenly Father! There are many young women that can benefit from their experiences. They were some amazing missionaries!

  3. Both Alicia and Paige were companions of mine. Alicia was my trainer... these two girls changed my life. I love them both dearly and guarantee what they share in their book is both humorous and sincere. I have great memories with both of them and I learned so much. I can't wait to read their book!

  5. Leanne, we love you! Remember how you spotlighted all four of us missionaries in sharing time? You had called our parents to find out our favorite things. You were such a good primary president. You are one of our favorites!

  6. DAVIS!! We thought of you often and fondly while we were putting this book together. We could write a whole other one just based on each of our experiences with you couldn't we?! Love!

  9. Hi Cathy, great suggestion! We don't have a table of contents but we can fill you in on the chapters. We cover the MTC, contacting, living with companions, service, working with the youth, being yourself and lastly, dealing with discouragement. It's a 5X8 book with 43 pages. Thanks for visiting us!
